The de Havilland Hornet was a piston engine fighter that further exploited the wooden construction techniques pioneered by de Havilland's earlier Mosquito (F.1 Fighter version). With the evolution of longer-range, jet-powered fighters such as the de Havilland Vampire, de Havilland Venom and Gloster Meteor, the Hornet became obsolete fairly quickly and the F 3 was the last Hornet derivative to see operational RAF service. Kit features surface detail, detailed cockpit with pilot seat and instrument panel, detailed gear cabins, one-piece 4-blade propellers with separate spinners, optional trailing edge flaps, (optional) detailed undercarriage and optional segmented canopy. Decals and 4-view color painting guide for (2) aircraft - includes stencil data, instrument panel and console.
